By default, your audio never leaves your machine. Transcription is local. Summary is local. The cloud only sees what you explicitly share.

What we collect

By default, nothing. The app runs on your computer and stores your meetings on your computer. No recording, transcript, or summary is uploaded unless you opt in to a specific cloud feature.

If you create an account, we store your email address and your Notabium license key. That is what lets us verify Pro features without requiring you to be online.

If you enable anonymous usage analytics in Settings (off by default), we collect:

What the cloud features do

You can turn on three cloud features. Each is opt in, per feature, per meeting:

Cross device sync, also opt in, encrypts your data on your machine with a key derived from a passphrase you choose. We can never read the contents.

Notabium is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

We will publish updates on this page and bump the date at the top. Material changes will also be emailed to active accounts.
